History
Former vicarage, now house; The Old Vicarage is a Grade II listed building with origins as far back as the 17th century. It was largely rebuilt in 1815, probably by Daniel Harris of Oxford who added grand slate floors and staircase among other lavish improvements.
The house and stables are built using Northamptonshire quarried sandstone which is so typical of the area.
Grounds
There are extensive gardens with many ‘wild’ patches where nature has taken over. If you love nature, the gardens are awash with native insects, small mammals and wild flowers to discover.
There are a couple of resident kites living in the mature trees which surround the gardens. In the courtyard you’ll often be greeted by our two rescue dogs, Elsa and Frank and our cat Sophie who all love cuddles.
Shared spaces
In the main house there is a dining area where you will be served breakfast if you have booked it. It also serves as a conference room.
The rooms all face the courtyard which is a shared space for all guests. It includes a seating area and fire pit.

“Amazing old world look and feel. Fantastic friendly hosts. Just incredible.”
